FC:
How long have you had this Sony lens?
DI: For about 5 years
FC:
How do you use the lens most often?
DI: I use the lens a lot because I just like the look! E.g. for conversation situations in production halls.
FC:
From your point of view, what are the strengths and weaknesses of this lens?
DI: Advantages are e.g. the fast autofocus, the low close-up limit, the good image quality and of course the low weight and small dimensions. The price-performance ratio is top! I also like to use it for video recording. Disadvantages are here and there slightly wavy distortion or chromatic aberrations visible at the image edge. The bokeh is not quite as nice either. But there is also the wonderful 35mm f1.4 😉
FC: On a scale of 1-8, how would you rate it (8 being the top rating, 1 being very poor).
DI: A good 7.

So if you're looking for a fast and sharp lens, the Sony 35mm F1.8 is a pretty good candidate for it!
